How to play Cornhole
Cornhole can be played with one or two boards with two or four players.
Boards are placed on level ground, lawn in best, 27 feet / 8.22m apart from the front of boards.
Players take turns throwing underarm, from the front of the board with the 1-pound Cornhole bags.
Scoring.
1 Point is awarded to any bag that lands on and stays on top of the board’s surface.
3 points is awarded to any bag that goes into the hole.
The end is completed and the score is counted after all 8 bags are thrown.
Cancellation scoring method is used in Cornhole.
The points of one player or team cancel out the points of their opponent.
Eg: if Red throws 4 points and blue throws 1 point, red is awarded 3 points.
Only one team scores in each end. First to score 21 points or above wins.
Singles
Two players throw, from behind the front of board one, all 8 bags alternatively at board two.
Players walk to board two, count the score, and throw all bags alternatively back at board one.
Player who scored last, throws first in the next end.
Doubles
One player from each team plays at each end for the whole game.
Opposing players throw alternatively all 8 bags from one end at opposite board.
The score is counted and the other players throw back in the opposite direction.
4/8 Bag Shoot Out
This is a quick game that any number of players can play.
Each player throws all four same-coloured bags at the board and records a score.
Player then throws all four bags back and then adds up total score from 8 bags.
Highest score wins.
